Position Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist will provide credentialing support services for current DCS client partners, and facilitate serving and onboarding new client partners. Credentialing Specialist will provide administrative assistance and complete tasks to facilitate credentialing services client partners are subscribed to, or contracted for, as delegated by Operations Manager, and/or Credentialing Manager.

The Credentialing Specialist plays a vital role in the revenue cycle management process by ensuring that dental professionals meet the necessary qualifications and credentials to provide patient care, ensuring proper insurance billing is obtainable. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will provide excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within regulatory guidelines.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the credentialing process for dental practices, including initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and fee analysis and negotiation.
- Complete credentialing applications, organize and submit all necessary documentation to insurance companies for credentialing purposes.
- Provide support to the credentialing team by tracking application, keying data into credentialing platforms, monitoring information requested from providers and assisting with preparation of credentialing files.
- Review all pertinent documents to identify missing information.
- Responsible for communicating with the dentist and/or office team regarding applicants' requested information.
- Establishes, maintains and revises record keeping and filing systems.
- Track expirations on documents and licenses, register providers into credentialing websites.
- Develop and maintain relationships with credentialing vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient credentialing process.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple credentialing contracts simultaneously, with respect to deadlines.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy in verifying and documenting credentials, licenses, and certifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sensitivity to dealing with highly confidential information and communication; in accordance with HIPAA.
- Familiarity and excel in credentialing softwares and spreadsheets within Google Workspace.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ years Credentialing multiple dental providers
- Strong Data Management and Detail-Oriented
- Effective Communication Skills
- Organizational and Computer Proficiency; Google Workplace and/or credentialing software experience required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA Compliance
- Adaptability to Changing Regulations
Compensation:
- $45,000+ / year commensurate with experience
